WynLearn: An Attempt to Anticipate 'Semantic Web' Usage with a Community Learning Portal
Tom Edwards will discuss the development of the WynLearn
community learning portal for the City of Wyndham and will
demonstrate the site’s functionality. He will describe the strategic
framework and learning environment that provided a catalyst
for the project, and will consider the project in the context of
applying ‘semantic web’ concepts and Web 2.0 tools to facilitate
community connectedness (such as RSS feeds) and optimise
accessibility (such as metadata and alerts).
