Internet Access and Participation for People with a Disability in Libraries - More than just the Equipment
A workshop which details the findings of research to gain a greater understanding of the library and information needs of people with a disability, particularly in relation
to the Internet.
A panel of representatives from Vicnet (State Library of Victoria), ComTEC (Yooralla), Scope and Vision Australia will discuss key findings of the research. Some of the key themes for discussion include physical and non-physical barriers, community engagement, training opportunities, and the challenges to bring about change. The workshop will include practical demonstrations of adaptive equipment and will invite
discussion with participants.
